My Trips to the Hospital

Hi, I'm Cari. When I was a teenager, my best friend Claire's mom got cancer. I started offering to take Deb (the mom) to the hospital for her treatments to help give the family a break. They had all been in and out of the hospital so much, and since I'm basically family to them, it was nice to support Deb and Claire. Not to mention, I was able to learn a lot about different medical topics just be listening and watching while waiting in the hospital. It was fascinating. To everyone's joy, after a long and hard two years, Deb finally beat cancer! I decided to start this blog as a memorial to all those who have struggled with health problems and as a resource to for anyone who needs to know more about hospitals and treatments.

Two Hair Removers That Will Improve And Moisturize Your Dry Skin

Removing unwanted facial hair from your face can seem impossible if you have dry skin. If you have dry skin, removing hair can irritate your skin and cause it to crack and bleed. You can rest assured that all is not lost! There are several tricks you can do right at home that will remove your unwanted facial hair while keeping your skin intact. In fact, these home remedies will also improve the overall dryness of your skin in the process.

Banana And Oatmeal Scrub

Bananas and oatmeal are the perfect combination when it comes to hair removal on dry skin. Bananas are a natural moisturizer, and the potassium will leave your skin hydrated and soft. Oatmeal will fight the dryness in your skin by unleashing polysaccharides. Polysaccharides leave a protective layer film over your skin, lock in the moisture and prevent your skin from flaking. The oatmeal will also exfoliate your skin and remove the unwanted hair.

To make this hair removal scrub, mash one ripe banana in two tablespoons of oatmeal until it creates a paste. Massage this paste into the unwanted facial hair for fifteen minutes. You can repeat this process twice a week if needed.

Potatoes And Yellow Lentils Mask

Like the banana, potatoes are also full of potassium. They are also full of vitamin C, which is essential to softer skin. The potassium and vitamin C will soften your skin and lock in that moisture, so your skin doesn't become irritated and cracked while removing the hair from your face. Potatoes also have natural bleaching agents, so while it is working to improve your skin, it is also making the unwanted hair lighter. Yellow lentils works in the same way the potato does, and it will turn this concoction into a thick paste for easy hair removal.

Peel and crush a potato in a small bowl. Pour the juice from the potato in a small bowl with one cup of softened yellow lentils. Rub the paste on the area of unwanted hair and let it dry for twenty minutes. Once the paste has dried, rub it off using your fingers or a soft cloth. When the paste comes off, so will your unwanted hair.

Having dry skin makes simple things, like removing unwanted facial hair, seem like an impossible task. It can make your skin irritated. It could even make it crack and bleed. Luckily, you don't have to live with unwanted facial hair. By using one of the concoctions listed above, not only will you remove the hair you don't want, you will be improving the overall health of your dry skin.
